The city of Sokolov, in order to explore possibilities for a residential project that would address anticipated housing needs for the city, organized a closed competition seeking proposals for an empty lot on Krizikova Street.
Object-e’s proposal, awarded with the second prize, aims at the creation of an urban condition, that would provide a substantial number of residencies, as well as an open space that would serve both the residents and the city life.
Consequently, four volumes are formed that define an enclosed, semi-public open space that would allow people to cross the site while providing vital open space to the residents. The four volumes contain 88 residencies of various sizes that can accommodate a large part of the city’s needs.
