The article “The Analog: Beyond Normativity and Non-Normativity” by Dimitris Gourdoukis has been published on volume 22 (January 2021) of the Forum A+P Interdisciplinary Journal of Architecture and Built Environment. The article explores the general theme of the volume, “Foreseeing Uncertainty. Design and Non-normativity“, in the context of the post-digital condition. It claims that the current understanding of design has moved beyond digital, dialectical oppositions – like normative/non-normative – towards a continuous, non binary and ultimately analog understanding of architecture and the world at large.
