Dimitris Gourdoukis will lecture on the 9th of April, 2019, at the School of Architecture of the Democritus University of Thrace, after an invitation by professor Polyxeni Mantzou. The lecture, under the title “Standards and References: Architect’s Dilemmas in the Post-Digital Age will comment on current developments in architectural theory and production, on the re-emergence of the concept of ‘reference’ as a valid design tool, albeit re-imagined in a post-digital context. At the same time it will extensively analyze the concept of the standards, its development and its importance in digital tools and media. The lecture will also present recent object-e research projects like the Ƨ.ph.er.es.
