Dimitris Gourdoukis presented at the Diachronic Artistic and Spatial Convergences and Divergences in the Mediterranean conference that took place from April 27 to April 29 at the Acropolis museum in Athens. The presentation concerns the concept of the island as a vehicle for creation and follows three Mediterranean islands as signifiers of different ways to understand creative process: Icaria, through the work of Etienne Cabet, Tilos, through the work of M.Karagatsis and finally Cythera though the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili.
